TREKKING KRAKATOA VOLCANO (2D 1N)
Trek the famous 1883 “big bang” volcano of Krakatoa, located between Java and Sumatra Islands in the Sunda Strait. Prior to the 1883 eruption Krakatoa Island had three volcanic cones: Rakata, Danan and Perboewatan. When Krakatoa Island blew up in 1883 it was entirely destroyed but the area remained full of volcanic activity. In 1930 a new island rose up out of the water where once Krakatoa was and it was named Anak (child of) Krakatau. Anak Krakatau is still active and grows almost 7 metres per year. A short trekking through a dusty path will lead us to the volcanic peak of Anak Krakatau at an altitude of more than 800m. From here you can enjoy the panoramic view on the Sunda Strait with nearby islands.

Day 1: Jakarta - Carita
Pickup at Jakarta and head to Carita beach. Lunch at Carita then trekking to Curug Gendang waterfall. Afterwards, back to Carita and check-in at Villa Mangris. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Carita – Krakatoa - Carita - Jakarta

To get away from one's working environment is, in a sense, to get away from one's self; and this is often the chief advantage of travel and change. - Charles Horton Cooley
